Whirlpool Challenge Display and MB not counting up

Upon granting a Whirlpool Award, the mode will start upon the ball going into the whirlpool, not upon hitting the shot successfully, and the display will lag behind by a bit. It will not display the individual award screen, but will show progress, eventually catching up to the award or mode, 5-10 seconds later.

However, during Whirlpool Challenge MB, it won't register a ball going into the Whirlpool, leaving the player stuck at 5MM. If a ball is lost, the last chance 5MM award still confirms and works.

Likely need to reset the ribbon cables and ROM based on reading fixes from other owners, but haven't been able to go hands on with the machine to do so.
