Ball doesn't kick into shooter lane when starting a game

Used a magnet to get the balls out, and realized there were only 3 balls in the trough. Game calls for 4 balls. Added a ball. Plunged. And the hidden stuck ball revealed itself. It now has 4 balls and plays great.
